Bose Lifestyle 650 Review Features

Bose is known as a pretty good audio system company, but will the Bose Lifestyle 650 live up to the brand name? That’s what you can find in this review, as the features section will reveal everything worth knowing what this model can do.

Elegant Design

While other home theater systems might look boxy and unattractive, the Bose Lifestyle 650 is a very attractive model with a classy and minimalistic design. It’s not just a matter of looking sleek, but also the fact that you can easily store it or place it wherever you want because it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It looks good paired with pretty much any TV, and it’s elegant finish makes it look like a really high-quality product.

Mobile Connectivity

You connect the system to your home’s wireless network for seamless connectivity, but you can also pair it with your mobile smart devices in order to play music or content directly from your phone. Convenience is the word of the day here, as everything becomes very easy to start up. The system is even capable of pairing with other devices through NFC technology which can’t be said for a lot of other home theater systems. You can even use the SoundTouch app to control the music that plays through the SoundTouch speaker. It’s great because it supports the popular apps like Spotify as well as your own music library.

4K Support

Watching content in 4K is becoming more than a trend, as it is slowly making its way to becoming the new standard. With that in mind, having a home theater system that can support 4K is a big deal. This means that the Bose Lifestyle 650 is able to seamlessly replay audio from 4K content without compromising the very high quality of the modern format.

The Downsides

This all sounds pretty neat, but you might be wondering if there’s anything wrong or less than optimal about the Bose Lifestyle 650. This section of the review will highlight all such issues so that when you buy it, you know exactly what you’re signing up for.

Hard To Install

It might seem like a hassle to actually get the installation done, mostly because each rear speaker needs its own power supply. And as if that’s not bad enough, you also need to have a power supply at the ready somewhere pretty high up the wall, in order to mount the speakers properly. This all can lead to a lot of frustration which is definitely what you want to pay for.

Modest UI

With the SoundTouch feature as well as the remote control, you would expect to see a pretty impressive UI. However, the UI that comes with the Bose Lifestyle 650 is as basic as they get, not providing a whole lot of assistance. In other words, you can’t really do much outside of seeing what song is currently playing.

Pros

  • Design
  • Mobile support
  • 4K support

Cons

  • Modest UI
  • Installation hassle

Installation and UI can be troublesome, but at the end of the day, this only represents a fraction of the time you spend with the actual product.

Ultimately, the Bose Lifestyle 650 can be a really satisfying home theater system solution, with good features and a solid performance. Make sure to leave a comment if you found this Bose Lifestyle 650 review helpful.
