Samsung HT-H7730 Features
Having the right number of ports is great, and being able to rely on a number of audio capabilities is even better, but it’s the features that come with the system that truly make it shine. In this review, you can see what that means as this section of the review is reserved for the important features present in the Samsung HT-H7730.
This system uses dynamic sound in order to create a 3D audio experience. Just like a movie can be 3D in terms of pictures, so too can the audio factor also come across as 3D. Smart programming allows for the Samsung HT-H7730 to use the needed special effects and room space management in order to make you feel like the sound is coming from all over the place.
4K Support And Upscale
As part of its included Blu-ray player, this system also supports 4K content. That’s not all, as it also allows for non-4K content to be upscaled to a near-4K resolution. It won’t be truly 4K, but it will still be a massive jump if you decide to pop in your favorite non-4K disc.
Wireless Speakers And Mobile Connectivity
The rear speakers are wireless so you don’t have to worry about tripping over wires all the time. It frees up space in your living room or bedroom, and it makes the setup as a whole look more modern and appealing. There is also mobile connectivity so you can pair your smartphone or tablet with the system. Then, you can use the link to stream photos or videos directly on your TV for example, which can really come in handy during different social events or just family time when you want to look through old photos.
There is also a recommendation system which will recommend content to you based on what you have already watched. Popularized by online services like Netflix or Pandora, it’s great to also have this incorporated into your included Blu-Ray player, so you will always have a fresh idea about what you should watch next.
In order for the review to be definitive, I will also mention the things that aren’t particularly appealing about the Samsung HT-H7730. Here you can check out the anti-features which might be strong signs of “stay away”, depending on what you value most in your home theater systems.
The system can be controlled with the manual buttons or with the remote control. Neither solution is that effective and the entire experience just feels sloppy. Sure, it’s not the end of the world since you will mostly leave the remote control to sit idly on the side, but it’s still worth mentioning that it’s not the smoothest experience to get from one place to another on the interface.
Not Surround Sound Friendly
Out of the box, it’s not a very surround sound friendly unit. What this means is that the wires for the speakers are pretty short and you can’t really set up the system the way you want, for surround sound. If you just want to enjoy upfront sound, it’s fine, but otherwise, you might need to make some adjustments after purchase, based on how big or small the room is.
- 4K features
- 3D sound
- Mobile connectivity
- Unfriendly user interface and remote
- Hard to set up for surround sound in a large room
Okay, so it has its flaws. But do they really bother you? If they aren’t affecting areas you’re interested in, they’re not really flaws. Overall, the Samsung HT-H7730 is a solid home theater system and the fact that it has some imperfections isn’t necessarily a deal breaker. Has the Samsung HT-H7730 review helped you make a decision?
