Samsung HT-J4500 Features

The features are the bread and butter of the system. And it’s what’s going to help you decide whether you should choose it over other home theater systems. Take a closer look at this review and see what recommends the Samsung HT-J4500.

Surround Sound

The Samsung HT-J4500 does a great job in providing surround sound. Despite coming in a rather small package, this home system is capable of enveloping a room with sound and making your feel like you’re in the middle of the action.

Smart Functions

On top of the home theater system functions, it also comes with Smart functions. The system can be connected to the internet and you can use special apps such as Amazon, Netflix and even BBC iPlayer.  This lets you enjoy your favorite type of content at any time, courtesy of your home theater system.

Blu-Ray And 3D

While the sound section is covered, the system also does a fine job at providing you with a bunch of cool video options. If you’re into movies, you will be pleased to know from my Samsung HT-J4500 review that it comes with a Blu-Ray player and it’s also capable of rendering 3D, so you can get the most realistic experience available when watching a movie for example.

Mobile Connectivity

You can connect your mobile devices to the home theater system in order to stream music directly from your phone.  If you want to put on your favorite album while cleaning the house or cooking, you don’t have to settle for your phone’s weak speakers. Just hook it up to the home theater system and let it blast through the more powerful Samsung speakers.

Downsides

Since it’s not perfect, this system also has downsides, not just features. Here you will find out what to expect that isn’t that great about the SAMSUNG HT-J4500, so if you end up buying it you won’t be disappointed.

The Remote

You might say that the remote isn’t really that important of an item. Sure, you need one to control the device, but it will be mostly sitting somewhere idly while you enjoy audio or video content. However, those summed up couple of minutes within a session can be very tiring with the Samsung HT-J4500 remote, because its design is not at all intuitive. You can have a hard time telling buttons apart and overall the experience is just not up to par with the rest that the system has to offer.

Connectivity

The system is a little modest on the connectivity side. Today, HDMI ports play a big role in delivering grade A information from one device to another, and not having HDMI ports give this system a pretty big handicap.

Additionally, it would seem that the Samsung HT-J4500 doesn’t play well with others in the sense that some TV models might not recognize it, or vice versa. It’s a huge inconvenience, not being able to pair the sound system with the TV you have, but it’s one of those things that you just have to hope you don’t have to go through.

Pros

  • Smart features
  • Blu-Ray and 3D
  • Surround sound
  • Full HD
  • Small, doesn’t take up room

Cons

  • Does not work with some TVs
  • No HDMI
  • Flawed remote design

Now that you have all the facts, you can decide whether the Samsung HT-J4500 ‘s imperfections are a deal breaker or if the features make them easy enough to overlook. Did you find this Samsung HT-J4500 review useful? Make sure to leave a comment!
