Features

Now that we’ve gone over the basic specs of the TV, let’s turn our attention to the bigger features that are part of the deal. Here are the things you are most likely to base your decision around.

Smart TV

This unit is a Smart TV which means that it comes with internet connectivity and a slew of apps such as Netflix or YouTube. You can even browse the internet via a browser and use mobile devices to stream content directly to your big, 40-inch screen.

Motion Rate 60

The Motion Rate 60 feature allows great image fidelity thanks to the advantageous refresh rate and backlight technology. Additionally, the TV’s processing capabilities make it fast and efficient.

WCE

Wide Color Enhancer is a feature that makes sure every color appears as the content producers intended. One of the banes of TVs is off colors. This feature adjusts the range of colors you see on screen to match the director’s vision.

Eco Sensor

This feature will adapt the brightness of the screen based on the light levels in the room at any given time. This means that you’ll always have the best viewing experience, tailor-made for the environment you’re watching content in.

It’s pretty obvious that the Samsung UN40J5200 comes with plenty useful features, but what about its flaws? It’s important to note that the TV has one pretty significant flaw, in the fact that it can be quite slow for a Smart TV. Commands from the remote or to the apps might take a little longer than preferred in order to process.

It’s time to take all this data and do a quick overview of the most important benefits that you’re looking at as a Samsung UN40J5200 buyer and also at some of the things that aren’t that great.

Pros

  • Good audio
  • Bright display
  • Color fidelity
  • Internet connectivity

Cons

  • Glossy frame picks up dust
  • Input delay
  • Unreliable stand
