Yamaha YHT-5920UBL Features

All that’s nice, but what about the features? What about the perks and functionalities that truly make a device great or average? Well, that’s what you’re going to learn about next, as we dive together into the features section. Here, you will get to see why you should buy the Yamaha YHT-5920UBL.

MusicCast

This is a feature that lets you stream your music from any platform wirelessly. It’s a very useful feature because it grants you access to all of the popular platforms out there, but also lets you connect your mobile device. Ultimately, you can listen to your music no matter where it’s coming from, through the speakers of the Yamaha YHT-5920UBL. You can connect devices and services to your home theater system through both WiFi and Bluetooth.

4K Support

The added support for 4K means that the home theater system will be compatible with the latest video quality out there. The next time you’re enjoying 4K content, you don’t have to worry about the sound system not being able to keep up, or the audio not being up to par with the quality of the video.

DSP Settings And Filters

This is technology that comes straight from Yamaha and it lets you tweak the nature of the sound being delivered into the room to your liking. Want to feel like you’re at the movie theater? Fine, just adjust the settings accordingly and you’ll get the same resonance and feel. The same goes for other types of sound fields that you might enjoy, like concert halls.

Gapless Playback

You know that frustrating moment of silence between two tracks when music is playing? The Yamaha YHT-5920UBL home theater system makes sure you don’t have to deal with that as it uses a gapless playback system which cuts out that uncomfortable or mood ruining gap. After the first song is done, the system will just move along to the second song, with no pause in between.

YPAO

YPAO is a feature developed by Yamaha, which will measure and scan the characteristics of the room in which you’re playing music or watching a movie. Next, it will tweak the home theater’s audio settings so that you get the optimal sound quality that perfectly blends in with what your environment offers or alters.

Downsides

If you were also curious about the flaws of this device, this is where you will find them. In this review, I am also showing the other side of the YAMAHA YHT-5920UBL, so that you won’t have any surprises when your system delivery arrives home.

Low Bass

While the overall sound quality might be satisfying, the bass quality can use an improvement. For some, the bass is an essential part of a great audio session so not having an up to par bass solution hurts the product.

Cheap Build

You are no doubt in search of a quality device, so you might be disappointed with some of the characteristics of the speakers’ build. The inserts on the back have a tendency to fall out, which can really give the overall system a cheap feel.

The default wires that come with the speakers are also cheap and of poor quality. Unless you want to risk having them die out at a very inopportune moment, you have to buy your own wires and replace the default ones.

Yamaha YHT-5920UBL – Is It The Right Choice For You?

Is bass really that important to you? If not, then you should have no problem in appreciating this Yamaha product. Sure, the components used for the speakers give it a bad image but unless you plan on touching the speakers every day, you will eventually forget and focus on the good audio quality. What do you think about this system now that you’ve read our Yamaha YHT-5920UBL review?
